The first learning tool designed to teach kids aged 8-13 transferable digital skills, whilst giving girls the chance to code. We spent two years on R&D before building our tool, which effectively inspires girls to code and create.

The global skills gap is a $13T threat to our economy, and existing tools only teach young students the concepts of coding. There is a huge drop off in interest after these skills are learnt- they cannot be applied creatively.

In addition to this. 90% of girls give up on coding. And if girls aren’t interested by the age of 11- it is unlikely that they will ever be interested.

Erase All Kittens is the first tool designed to:

  1. equip students aged 8-13 with transferable digital skills
  2. Inspire girls to code-via highly gamified, story-driven gameplay

Made with only £72K, extensive R&D was carried out for 18 months to build a technically innovative coding game that girls – and boys – genuinely love.

Our 60 min prototype, launched in 2017, has built up the confidence and sparked the curiosity of 150.000 young students worldwide. 2232 schools have signed up in the past 18 months-via teachers talking about the game on social media.

55% of all of EAK’s players are girls – compared with an average of 18% for other coding tools. And 95% of girls want to learn more about coding after playing (data taken from 12,000 feedback forms at the end of the online game).
